The Process
What to expect
Extractions and healing if needed
If remaining teeth still need to be removed, we extract them and allow healing time before taking final impressions. Immediate dentures can be placed the same day as extractions as a temporary solution while the gum tissue heals.
Impressions and measurements
Detailed impressions capture the exact contours of your gums and any remaining teeth. We also record your bite relationship and facial measurements so the denture positions your jaw and lips in a natural resting position.
Wax try-in
Before the final denture is fabricated, you try in a wax model of the appliance. This is your opportunity to evaluate the fit, the appearance, and your speech before anything is made permanent. Changes are straightforward to make at this stage.
Final delivery and adjustments
The finished denture is seated and checked for fit and bite balance. Most patients need one or two minor adjustments in the weeks following delivery as gum tissue adapts. These adjustments are included in your care.
