The Process
What to expect
Consultation and digital scan
Dr. Brar takes digital impressions of your teeth and photographs your bite from multiple angles. Software maps out your entire tooth movement from start to finish so you can see a visual preview of your projected final result before committing to treatment.
Custom tray fabrication
Your full series of trays is fabricated from the digital scan. Each tray moves your teeth incrementally. You receive several sets at a time and wear each one for the prescribed number of days before advancing to the next.
Check-in appointments
You visit every 6 to 8 weeks so Dr. Brar can confirm your teeth are tracking correctly and hand you the next sets of trays. These appointments are brief, typically 15 to 20 minutes.
Retention
Once your teeth reach their final position, a retainer maintains the result. Most patients wear retainers nightly on a long-term basis. Skipping retention is the most common reason teeth drift back after aligner treatment.
